Job Summary: The Institutional Research Analyst Senior is responsible for providing analytical support to The University's administrative efforts by creating and maintaining context data and information, providing statistical analyses, responding to surveys and ad-hoc information requests, developing and conducting custom research methods for institutional studies, and enhancing the University's effectiveness through information and process integration. The position also provides leadership, guidance and supervision to other OIRA colleagues.
Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Requires demonstrated analytical and organizational skills, excellent oral and written communication skills, the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a group setting, and a solid understanding of descriptive and inferential statistics using software such as SAS (preferred). A minimum of 5 years experience in an institutional research office or other research environment. Requires a strong knowledge of integrated information systems, structured query language (SQL), the ability to extract data from large and disparate databases, effective reporting practices and principles, and the capability to translate technical issues to common English to facilitate communication and understanding.
Preferred Qualifications: Proficient research design experience and higher education administration work experience preferred.
