Normal Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm


Job Summary: The Clinical Director is responsible for the overall clinical leadership and provision of mental health services at Brewer-Porch Children's Center. This includes the development, implementation and administration of projects involving program development, program evaluation, and clinical research relevant to children's mental health treatment.


Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Doctorate degree in Psychology, Social Work, or Counseling, including coursework in clinical practice with children, research design, and data analysis and interpretation and three (3) years of experience treating emotionally and behaviorally disturbed children and adolescents. Candidates must possess a valid license for clinical practice in a mental health discipline at the independent practitioner level in the State of Alabama, or be able to obtain a license in the State of Alabama within 6 months of employment. Must have valid U.S. driver's license. Must be at least 21 years of age at time of hire and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report as determined by the insurance carrier. Final candidates who are not current Brewer-Porch Children's Center employees must submit to and successfully pass a post-offer drug screen.


Skills and Knowledge: Proven ability to communicate and work well with diverse populations and stakeholders.


Preferred Qualifications: Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology. Experience as a Clinical Director in a mental health environment. Demonstrated success in conducting clinical research, including the development of professional papers and research reports. Training and experience in the implementation of evidence-based interventions for children/adolescents with emotional and/or behavioral disorders.
