Normal Work Schedule: Schedule availability does vary, but the shifts are for every Saturday and Sunday and dependent on the shift vacancy being filled.


Job Summary: The Mental Health Worker I has primary responsibility for Brewer Porch Children's Center client safety, client supervision. This position is also expected to understand and implement the client treatment plan for each client under his/her care.


Required Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent and six months experience working with children; or nine hours of college coursework in major courses of special education, psychology, social work, counseling, education, behavioral or social science, communicative disorders or a closely related field can substitute for work experience. Must successfully complete health screening after offer of employment has been made. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.


Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Must be able to perform crisis intervention techniques. Must have a valid U.S. driver’s license. Must be at least 21 years of age and have an acceptable motor vehicle report as determined by the insurance carrier. Final candidates who are not current Brewer-Porch Children's Center employees must submit to and successfully pass a post-offer drug screen.
